Skincare is a collaboration. These guides walk you through what to do before and after your treatment—so you can get the best results, with none of the guesswork.

NEUROTOXINS | PRE
Below are instructions and recommendations for Botox®, Xeomin® or Dysport®. Please read thoroughly before coming to your appointment.
-Please be aware consuming alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment may increase the risk of bruising
-Please be aware, the use of anti-inflammatory medications (Advil, Aspirin, Aleve, Motrin, Ibuprofen) and some supplements (vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, omegas fish oil, herbals) within 2 weeks of a neurotoxin (Botox®, Xeomin® and Dysport®) treatment may slightly increase the risk of bleeding and bruising associated with the injections
-If you are currently using anti-coagulation medications, please inform your provider.
-If you have a special event you are preparing for, please know results from your neurotoxin treatment may be noticeable in as little as 5-7 days. However, the full onset of treatment may take up to 10 to 14 days.
-Please notify your provider, at least 24 hours in advance, if you have a rash, cold sore or blemish in the area or adjacent to the area being treated.
NEUROTOXINS | POST
Below are post treatment instructions for Botox®, Xeomin® or Dysport®. Please follow these recommendations after your procedure.
-Please do not exercise or participate in strenuous activities for 24 hours after treatment.
-Please do not massage or manipulate the area treated for 4 hours following treatment.
-Please allow 24 hours after your neurotoxin treatment to schedule laser, IPL/BBL, a facial or a dental procedure. Please ask your provider if you are uncertain about the time frame of particular services.
-Please do not lie flat for 4 hours following your neurotoxin treatment.
-Following evaluation, should your provider recommend additional units of a neurotoxin product, additional units are customarily injected between day 14 to 21 in order to allow full onset of the treatment.
DERMAL FILLERS | PRE
Below are instructions and recommendations for Dermal Fillers.
John’s Wort, omegas fish oil, herbals) within 2 weeks of a filler treatment may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising associated with the injections.
-If you are currently using anti-coagulation medications, please inform your provider. Based on the treatment recommended for you, you may be asked to contact the managing provider of your anti-coagulation medications in an effort to ensure the safest treatment plan for you.
-It is recommended to schedule your dermal filler appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event which you may be attending. Any bruising, redness or swelling should resolve within 2 weeks after treatment. Please note, treatment with Sculptra does take longer to see results so plan accordingly with your provider.
-Please avoid any dental procedures 2 weeks prior to your dermal filler appointment. Additionally, please do not schedule a dental procedure within 2 weeks of having a dermal filler treatment.
-Please reschedule your appointment, at least 24 hours in advance, if you have a rash, cold sore or blemish in the area or adjacent to the area being treated.
-Please let your provider know in advance if you have a history of cold sores or shingles in the area being treated; they may choose to prescribe an anti-viral medication which would need to be started prior to your treatment.
-Please have a snack and/or meal before your treatment; this will decrease the likelihood of feeling lightheaded during the treatment.
-Please notify your provider immediately if you are pregnant, actively attempting pregnancy or are breast feeding; you are not a candidate for treatment. Be assured, we will formulate an alternate treatment plan which is suitable if you are pregnant and/or nursing.
DERMAL FILLERS | POST
Below are post treatment instructions for Dermal Fillers. Please follow these recommendations after your procedure.
-Avoid significant pressure, movement, massage or manipulation of the treatment area, unless instructed by your provider or if you had treatment with Sculptra, for a full 14 days. Based on the area treated and the product used, your provider may give you more specific instructions to follow to ensure an optimal outcome. (Please note, sources of pressure, movement, massage or manipulation may be: hands, sunglasses, diving/snorkel mask, ski mask, facials, massages, lasers/IPL/BBL, facial brush/tool)
-If you had treatment with Sculptra, please massage the area treated for a duration of 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 consecutive days and/or as directed by your provider.
-Please avoid using facial brushes and/or tools to the area treated for 7 days.
-Avoid strenuous exercise or activity and excessive bending over at the waist for a full 72 hours to minimize risks and complications after treatment.
-Avoid extensive sun or heat for a full 72 hours.
-Please avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excess swelling.
If you have swelling, or to minimize the risk of swelling, you may apply a cool compress to the area treated. Apply the cool compress for a duration of no more than 15 minutes at a time. Then, remove the cool compress for 10-15 minutes before re-applying another cool compress. A cool compress may be used throughout the day and night following the treatment. Please do not apply ice or a cold compress since sensation of the treatment area may be altered and skin burns may occur.
On the third day, apply warm compresses instead of ice.
Please use Tylenol to manage any treatment the day of treatment, and 2 to 3 days after.
Please sleep face up and slightly elevated the night of your treatment to minimize swelling.
You may use arnica montana or bromelain to help minimize the risk of bruising and swelling; begin products as directed on package, customarily 2 days prior to treatment, the day of treatment, and 2 to 3 days after.
PRF EZ GEL | PRE
PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS: TO PREPARE FOR PRF THERAPY
• For optimal results and to decrease the chance of bruising, please avoid all blood thinning medications and herbal supplements for 1 week prior to your appointment. Do not stop any prescribed medications. Avoid taking aspirin and non-steroidal anti inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) such as such as ibuprofen, Motrin, and Aleve. In addition, very high doses of some vitamins and supplements can thin your blood and increase the chance of bruising. Please notify your provider if you are taking aspirin, Coumadin, Plavix, or any other blood thinners for a medical condition.
• Hydration is imperative for an optimal outcome. Start the hydration process 72 hours prior to your treatment. Drinking 64 oz of water the day of the procedure is known to yield better outcomes. Please notify your provider prior to the appointment if you have a medical condition which prohibits you from drinking large amounts of water.
• During the course of your treatments, notify our staff of any changes to your medical history, health status, or personal activities that may be relevant to your treatment. • Smoking can negatively impact outcomes by potentially impairing platelet function, reducing growth factor release, and hindering the overall healing process.
PRF EZ GEL | POST
POST CARE FOR INJECTED SCALP PRP AND FACE PRF
• What to Expect After Treatment: Immediately following the procedure, the most commonly reported temporary side effects are redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, tingling, numbness, lumpiness, and/or a feeling of pressure or fullness at the injection sites and/or in the treated area(s). Cold gel packs/ice may be gently applied immediately after treatment to reduce swelling.
• To Avoid Bruising: Avoid alcohol consumption for a minimum of 24 hours and refrain from taking blood thinners such as aspirin and NSAIDS for several days. Tylenol is recommended if needed for discomfort.
• To Maximize Results and Prevent Complications:
• Avoid touching or scrubbing at the injection sites for 24 hours after treatment. • Sleep on your back with your head elevated and avoid rubbing the treated area for 2 weeks.
• Avoid direct high heat (blow dryer, sun exposure, sauna, steam room, very hot shower, hot yoga, strenuous exercise, etc.) for 4 hours after treatment.
• No Facials, Facial Massages, or Laser Treatments for 2 Weeks Afterward: Most facials, chemical peels, laser, and light treatments may be done immediately prior to the treatment but not for 2 weeks after the treatment. Neuromodulators may be injected immediately after.
• Combination Therapy for Optimal Results: PRF Therapy stimulates your skin to grow new, younger tissue; however, it does not prevent muscle movement or resurface the skin. Most patients see best results when combining their PRF treatments with other anti-aging procedures such as neuromodulators, microneedling , Laser treatments, etc.
Follow-up Appointments
• Most patients see improvement within 2-4 weeks with continued improvement up to 12 weeks. If the desired level of correction has not been achieved within 4-12 weeks then we recommend repeating the procedure at 4-12 week intervals until you achieve the results you desire.
• Maintenance Treatments: The results of this treatment can last up to 2 years, but results vary and research documenting the longevity of results is ongoing. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6-12 months.
POST CARE FOR TOPICAL APPLICATION OF PRF FACIAL
• To Maximize Results: For a minimum of 5 hours after the PRF has been applied to your skin, DO NOT: Wash your skin, expose the treated area to direct high heat, or engage in activities that will get the skin wet or cause you to sweat (blow dryer, sun exposure, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, very hot shower, hot yoga, strenuous exercise, etc.)
• For best results and efficacy: We recommend a series of 3-6 treatments administered at 2-4 week intervals. You may notice immediate as well as longer term improvements in your skin.

FACIALS | PEELS | BROWS
MICROBLADING | PRE
In order to ensure you are properly prepared for your microblading service, please review the list below.
Please adhere to the following instructions prior to your appointment:
-No aspirin or anti-inflammatories prior to your procedure.
-No sunburn to the face.
-No chemical peels or laser treatments within the last 6 weeks.
-No botox injections within the last 2 weeks.
-No cancer/chemotherapy treatment within the last year.
-No Retin-a(Tretinoin) use 1 week prior to your appointment.
-Any waxing/tinting service must be at least 3 days prior.
**If you are pregnant or nursing, you will be unable to receive microblading until after.
Aftercare instructions will be provided at your appointment. Following your aftercare is necessary to achieve the best results. Please be aware that you must be able to avoid submerging your brows in water(no pool/hot tubs), no direct sun exposure, and no excessive sweating(no intense workouts like hot yoga) for 2 weeks. Your brows will take 4 weeks to be completely healed. Expect to see changes as your brows heal. Initially, your brows will be darker and can become flaky/itchy, therefore, please book accordingly if you have any upcoming events.
As a reminder, microblading is a multistep process. Your touch up session must take place 5-6 weeks after your initial treatment.
MICROBLADING | POST
Proper care following your procedure is necessary to achieve the best results. Keep in mind, in many cases, unevenness in color is to be initially expected, especially during the healing process. Also, it is very common not to retain all the pigment from the initial session; this is the purpose of the touch up visit. The touch up is to take place 5-6 weeks following your initial treatment.
Your healing microblading should be treated as an open wound. Avoid touching the brow area unless necessary & ALWAYS wash hands before coming into contact with your healing brows.
FOR THE FIRST 2 WEEKS:
-Do not submerge your brows in water! When you wash your face and take a shower, be sure to wash carefully around the brow area to keep it dry. If they do get wet, be sure to pat dry carefully. Do not put your face directly under the shower head.
-Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds. Wear large sunglasses and/or a hat. Avoid using spf directly on the brow area until 3 weeks post treatment.
-Avoid heavy sweating. Do not perform strenuous physical activity or workouts such as hot yoga.
-Do not apply makeup, lotions(other than the healing balm provided by your technician), Retin-A, or any exfoliating agents directly to the brow area.
-Some itching is normal, especially during the healing process. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the healing area. Let any scabbing naturally exfoliate off.
FOR THE FIRST 5 DAYS:
-Use the provided ointment for the first 5 days (unless directed otherwise by your technician) in the evening, before bed. Apply only about a rice grain size of ointment to each brow with a Qtip; you want the brows to be hydrated but you do not want to over apply the ointment over-saturating them. Over application of the ointment can “suffocate” the brows and doesn’t allow for proper healing.
-Clean the brows gently in the morning and evening. Use a wet Qtip to gently roll across the brow area to clean them & pat dry afterwards. DO NOT RUB THE BROWS WITH THE QTIP! You can use gentle cleanser (Cetaphil/Cerave) or antibacterial soap on the QTIP to help clean as well. Do not apply any facial cleanser with highly active ingredients as this can cause irritation.
Allow 4-5 weeks for the full healing process to be complete.
HYDRAFACIAL | PRE

CHEMICAL PEEL | POST
After your treatment:

- Most importantly you should reduce sun exposure for one week. Wear SPF, remember to reapply every 2 hours, and wear a hat.
- Allow the old skin to flake off naturally and keep it moisturized at all times. Do not pick, peel, or rub as this may cause scarring. You may trim with scissors carefully.
